Match Report: HKCC Ladies C 4-0 Swire B

A well fought first win for the #cteamdreamteam this season against a Swire B team who didn't give up and didn't stop running.

The super strong defensive pairing of Morag and Grace (who could give a masterclass in marking) together with Pip, who was on aggressive form between the sticks, allowed the whole team to push higher up, with Player of the Match Heidi playing a brilliant holding role and switching the ball across the pitch in a way that the C team have only talked about in the past.

With Ange in her usual honey badgerish form, Maddie running some storming arcs into the D and Charlie opening up options down the left, we had plenty of scoring opportunities which Mrs Deayton (who'd taken a break from moving house to come and play), Maggie and Cat took advantage of.

Cat's goal was particularly cool - she could have smoked the cigar she had in the Chater later in between receiving the ball near the top of the D and striking home. Some good running also from Elbows up front who was unlucky not to score towards the end of the game.

While we lost concentration a little in the second half (having been 3-0 up at half time) and need to convert more of our shorts, but it was good to be back to winning ways.
