Double joy for Hong Kong's next generation in Laos

Hong Kong once again highlighted their regional dominance over the weekend, with both the Men's and Women's U20s squads proving too hot to handle in the Asia Rugby U20 Sevens competition.

While the Men sealed their third successive title with a 34-17 victory over Chinese Taipei in the Final, the Women helped themselves to their maiden title after dispatching Thailand 29-7 - making up for last year's heartbreak on home soil in their Final loss to China.

Both sides had plenty of firepower to spare, although the Women's cause was greatly helped by a frugal defence which let in a measly 2 tries in 5 matches.

For the Men, joint tournament top-scorers Luke Rae-Howard and Hary Laidler stood out with prolific performances in attack, while Florence Symonds and 2019 Hong Kong Sevens debutant Jessica Eden's quality shone through in key moments.
