1. Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2019

Date: Feb 17 (Sun)

This weekend, the famous Standard Chartered Marathon returns to Hong Kong once again. With around 74,000 participants, the marathon will truly be a spectacle to behold.

Although registration for the event has already closed, it is likely that our readers will know some that are involved in the event. Thus, head down to Causeway Bay to cheer your friend own as they achieve a magnificent sporting achievement.

The marathon will start nice and early at 6:15 in the morning and eventually wrap up sometime in the afternoon.

2. Hike to Lion Rock

Date: Feb 17 (Sun)

Time: 9.30am-3.00pm

Venue: Chok Un

Looking for a breath of fresh air and a great view? Well, this weekend Lani is hosting a hike to Lion’s rock!

Lion’s rock has the best vantage point in Hong Kong - showcasing natural green hills on one side and dense urban landscape on the other. A truly unique experience.

Fortunately, there is no entry fee, but everyone will be grabbing a late lunch after so be sure to bring some cash. The hike is a fairly short but steep journey, make sure to bring appropriate footwear and are capable of strenuous activity.

3. Thai Massage and Partner Yoga with Ramone Bisset

If you have ever been interested in learning how to give the perfect massage, then this is definitely the perfect opportunity! Amazingly, the session is also combined with some yoga.

In the morning, you will prepare your body for practising a with a partner through yoga. In the afternoon, you will learn how to give and receive a basic full-body relaxation massage.

No prior experience of yoga or massage is required - just an open mind and a willingness to learn and connect! If you come without a partner, a practitioner will be provided.

4. Move it for Mental Health Wing Chun Class

Date: Feb 16 (Sat)

Time: 6.00pm-7.00pm

If your interest in Wing Chun was piqued by the action scene where Ip Man pulverises his way through 10 black belts in his eponymous film, this event is the ideal chance to find out more about the martial art!

A one-off workshop hosted by Sifu Lawrence Monsalud, participants will harness Wing Chun to express themselves confidently through physical movement, developing a good foundation of body balance, allowing you to explore your mind, focus and concentration.

5. CrossFit Gymnastics Course

Time: 9.00am (Sat)-5.00pm (Sun)

If you're already into CrossFit, you already know that their athletes are among the fittest in the world.

In this course, which is in a part-lecture part-workout format, you will learn to apply basic gymnastic principles either as an end in itself, or towards increasing strength development, core control and spatial awareness.

Learn to master pistol squats, butterfly pull-ups and all manner of other movements, the theoretical knowledge behind it and remember to have fun in the process!
