Match Report: HKCC Ladies A 0-2 HKFC B

After an epic battle of end to end, tit for tat action last weekend, which saw the dramatic 4-4 draw against HKFC A’s. HKCC knew that this week’s opponents, HKFC B’s, would come out all guns blazing.

The first half saw very little in terms of possession or attack for HKCC and it was a touch of batten down the hatches as HKFC dominated possession, leaving HKCC with scraps and very few opportunities up front.

The deadlock was broken midway through the first half where HKFC went on to score two scrappy yet deserved goals off the back of short corners.

There wasn't much too cheer about in the first half except for an outstanding one handed reaction save by Gill where an elevated shot from the top of the D looked destined for the top corner.

Half time brought the opportunity to re-group and the second half saw a much improved performance by HKCC ladies, who should take confidence in the fact that they kept HKFC at bay, stifling many of their attacks and keeping the second half goalless.

With a bit more controlled possession next time, hopefully the second half defensive display can be turned into an equally strong attacking performance to get back on track with a win against Valley A’s.

…Life is like a sport - Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but the game always goes on!
