The game started well for HKCC Bs with some good passing through the midfield. Toni, Sarah and Kirsty made some strong passes into the circle but unfortunately we just couldn’t seem to reach our strikers past the solid LHT defence. When K-Rose managed to sneak in a goal that was disallowed, it only added to our frustration.
LHT then managed to make a few fast breaks into our defending circle but Nat and Jas were solid in holding back any goals. After some inspiring shouting from Caro, K-Rose proceeded to smash in a goal which took us 1-0 up.
Not long after, Lou hit it in from the top of the circle and we ended the first half with a two goal lead.
Our half time team talk only encouraged us further and we started with some good runs up towards the circle from Skittle. This resulted in a quick second goal for K-Rose.
LHT managed to get a few breaks but were quickly shut down by our defensive team.
Attackers Angel and Viv managed some great passing at the top of the circle and got us another short corner. A quick slip pass to Toni saw her smack it to the right post, setting up Lou’s goal and taking us 4-0 up.
However, a fast break from LHT after intercepting a long pass somehow saw the ball sneak past Jas, taking the score to 4-1.
Not to be easily shaken, HKCC B held it together and with some good play and the ever famous ‘Caro-ball’, we had a few more opportunities to score.
Finally Skittle increased the score to 5-1 with a well deserved goal after numerous runs throughout the game.
Overall a great game and a well deserved win for B’s. Keep the winning streak up girls!!
