As hosts of the Rugby Sevens and Hong Kong Tennis Open, the city is certainly no stranger to organising sporting events of international renown and the Hong Kong Squash Open is no exception.

This will be the first Open to introduce equal cash prizes between men's and women's categories and definitely not one to be missed by local fans looking to spot Hong Kong's very own squash stars Max Lee and Annie Au in action, as well as a whole host of stars including reigning men's and women's number ones Mohamed El Shorbaby and Nour El Sherbini.

3. Sunday Promotional Wing Chun Class

Date: Nov 18 (Sun), every Sunday

Venue: Room 205, 2/F, Mei Foo Government Complex

33 Mei Lai Road, Sham Shui Po

Admission: $150/session or $400 a month (Book HERE)

Popularised by the Ip Man trilogy and the martial art in which the legendary Bruce Lee received tutelage in during his formative years prior to developing Jeet Kun Do and attaining superstardom, Wing Chun is perhaps most famous for its lightning quick punches (sound familiar?) and the wooden dummy on which practitioners condition their body.

Each 2-hour lesson is tailored to your ability and allows you to start with basic techniques at your own pace.

In addition, instructor Sifu Joseph Lau is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, but don't forget to let your fists do at least some of the talking...

4. Victoria Park Free Flow

Date: Nov 18 (Sun)

Time: 9am-11am

Venue: Victoria Park, Causeway Bay

(Situated at jogging path near Tennis Centre)

Admission: FREE (more info HERE)

Despite the title, no alcohol will be involved. Instead, bring a mat, towel and water and be prepared to spend your Sunday morning embracing nature and practising yoga under the guidance of 3 instructors.

No costs involved at all although there is an option to donate to various charities, so this is a fantastic opportunity for complete newbies to give yoga a go with no strings attached!

5. Dance in the Dark and Meditation

Date: 18 Nov (Sun)

Time: 8pm-9.30pm

Venue: Dance Room, Hong Kong Park Sports Centre

29 Cotton Tree Drive, Central

Admission: $100 (book HERE)

Dance like nobody's watching. No, literally- you're invited to throw shapes without conforming to any genre or style (an accurate description of the author's Friday night exploits) to music in complete darkness, followed by a spot of meditation to round things off.

Don't know about you, but certainly sounds like a fantastic idea to put on your dancing shoes and sashay the Monday blues away!
