After snapping the Spartans' winning streak last week, the Bears were determined to extend their unbeaten streak against the Raptors, who are a promising young team with most of their players being under the age of 20.

The Bears pounced immediately when the puck was dropped and spent most of the first few minutes in the Raptors’ zone churning out scoring opportunities

Even though the Bears spent most of the time at Raptors zone in the first 5 to 8 minutes of the 1st period, the Raptors were much better from their last meeting and kept our advances at bay.

However, the pressure soon translated into goals and Bears' Jim Liu scored a beautiful snap shot from the point over the trapper of the Raptors’ goalie, after some inspired plays between Ray Li and Ka Fai

The Bears kept the momentum going and scored the second goal with one minute left on the clock from another great feed from Ka Fai to Darren Mong, who flicked the puck over the Raptors' goalie

Just when the Bears were expecting to go into the 2nd period with a 2 nothing lead, the Raptors capitalized on a turnover from the Bears near the Raptors’ blueline. Jason Ching picked up the loose puck and had a coast to coast rush, netting a harmless looking tight angle shot through the five hole of Bear’s goalie with only 15 seconds to go,

Buoyed by this turn of events, the Raptors were more aggressive in the 2nd period, working tirelessly to close down the puck and turn defense swiftly into attack when they did.

Their efforts were rewarded after 7 minutes, when Wang Hoi Wong scored another harmless looking bad angle shot through the right pad of Bear’s goalie Andy, who was unable to carry his form from the draw against Zerve Spartans into today and had a disappointing night in goal.

After the game tying goal, the game became more physical and intense as both teams went for the win. Whle there were penalties for and against both sides, neither couldn’t capitalize on any of the man advantage plays.

The game ended 2-2 and the Bears were able to keep their unbeaten streak alive, but will be left to rue what could have been after giving away a 2-0 lead.
