A less commercial and more local/authentic alternative to celebrate Tuen Ng Festival.

Every year to celebrate the Dragon Boat festival, Tai O's fishermen associations organize a

traditional water parade ritual.

This annual ritual is known as the "Deities' Parade", where three dragon boats loaded with travelling deity images makes its way through the water as a 'fa yi' (offering burning) is performed in addition to the blessing of the deities.

In the evening, each association holds its own banquet to celebrate the festival. You can also spot dragon boat races occurring throughout the day as well!
