2nd All Girls Rugby Tour to Singapore returns this weekend

Following an immensely successful debut last year, the 2018 All Girls Contact Rugby Tour is braced to see even greater participation this coming weekend.

Hong Kong's Harrow School and Davao Rugby from the Philippines are set to join a host of Hong Kong teams including the South Lantau Buffaloes, Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC), Flying Kukris, Discovery Bay Pirates, HKU Sandy Bay, Flying Kukris, Sai Kung Stingrays, USRC Tigers and Valley Fort, local Singaporean clubs Tanglin Rugby and Centaurs FC, Cavaliers from Australia as well as Indonesia's Komodo Dragons.

The diversity of participating clubs is very much reflective of the Tour's purpose of raising the profile of girls rugby in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, empowering the less fortunate through the sport and helping to forge closer ties within the girls rugby community on a whole.

As before, matches will be conducted in Sevens format to ensure fast-paced, attacking rugby, with Tanglin Rugby Club once more serving as tournament hosts on Saturday.

Last year saw the Sai Kung Stingrays emerge as the dominant club, securing the U-14s and 16s trophies in addition to second-place honours in the U-12 category.
