1. 2018 Spartan Race Open

Without question the biggest test of all-round fitness there is, the infamous Spartan Race returns to Hong Kong this month with its signature obstacles designed to challenge your raw strength levels, mastery of bodyweight exercises and tolerance towards muddy conditions, all while stretching your cardiovascular endurance across a 5km course in the Open category.

Spectators are free to venture about the course to get up close to the action and watch aspiring Spartans tackle various stations (pretty much the definition of spectating).

While you'd have be really fit or suicidal to do so at this stage, you can register HERE to take part or for spectator tickets.

Either way, be sure to turn up in a pair of durable shoes and bring plenty of water.

2. HIIT Me Up!

Date: Nov 3 (Sat)

Time: 10am-1pm

Venue: The Hive, 14/F, Manning House

Admission: FREE

Spend your well-earned rest day at HIIT Me Up hosted by BrocnBells.com, where you can socialise with other health and fitness-minded individuals over social fitness sessions and free samples on offer, courtesy of Oatly, John Masters Organics, Akar Skin and other booths on site (you'll have to register HERE beforehand).

Who knows, you might find your next workout buddy, be inspired to start a supplement company or discover your new favourite health food supplier... the possibilities are endless!

3. IRIS x Ngong Ping 360

Date: Nov 3 (Sat)

Time: 9am-6pm

If you somehow managed to miss out on all the goodness of IRIS: Your Escape a few weeks ago, not to worry.

The wonderful people behind the event have teamed up with Ngong Ping 360 for the first time to bring you a unique wellness and spiritual experience every Saturday and Sunday from now until the 9th of December!

Start your journey right by immersing yourself in the gorgeous natural scenery and idyllic views of Lantau Island from the cable car ride to the venue itself, where you will be well on your way to find further serenity under the watchful guidance of 24 instructors specialising in yoga, fitness, stretching and meditation classes.

Tickets include a round journey for the ride itself, a $50 meal voucher and good time- a pretty swell deal if you ask me!

4. The Green Race HK Wednesday Night Social Run

Date: 7 Nov (Wed)

Time: 7.30pm-9pm

Venue: Hong Kong Park Sports Centre

Admission: FREE

Short on motivation to get those kilometres in on your weeknight runs?

Trade your dancing shoes for running ones and meet up with a group of fellow avid runners on Wednesday, where you will take on a challenging 15km upward night hike/run, starting from Bowen Road to wherever the night takes you (probably near Deepwater Bay Road).

Bring along water and headlamps and make sure to sign this waiver prior to jumping straight into the action.

Just like a good old Wednesday night pub crawl, minus the alcohol.

5. BACKFLIP!

Date: 3 Nov (Sat)

Time: 12.30pm-2.30pm

Venue: SharedSpace

The title is pretty much self-explanatory- master your first-ever backflip under the tutelage of Aaron Martin, long-time backflipper and parkour extraordinaire!

Whether this will be your first step before becoming Hong Kong's next biggest parkour sensation or a nifty party trick you can pull out anytime to impress your mates or the opposite sex, you'll be sure to take a big step towards your goal through this SharedSpace workshop.

Classes are capped at 12 people and kids from 14-17 are allowed to join, provided they have parental consent.
