AROO!

Without question the biggest test of all-round fitness there is, the infamous Spartan Race returns to Hong Kong this month with its signature obstacles designed to challenge your raw strength levels, mastery of bodyweight exercises and tolerance towards muddy conditions, all while stretching your cardiovascular endurance across a 5km course in the Open category.

Spectators are free to venture about the course to get up close to the action and watch aspiring Spartans tackle various stations (pretty much the definition of spectating).

While you'd have be really fit or suicidal to do so at this stage, you can register HERE to take part or for spectator tickets.

Either way, be sure to turn up in a pair of durable shoes and bring plenty of water.

Who knows, you might find your next workout buddy, be inspired to start a supplement company or discover your new favourite health food supplier... the possibilities are endless!

The wonderful people behind the event have teamed up with Ngong Ping 360 for the first time to bring you a unique wellness and spiritual experience every Saturday and Sunday from now until the 9th of December!

Start your journey right by immersing yourself in the gorgeous natural scenery and idyllic views of Lantau Island from the cable car ride to the venue itself, where you will be well on your way to find further serenity under the watchful guidance of 24 instructors specialising in yoga, fitness, stretching and meditation classes.

Tickets include a round journey for the ride itself, a $50 meal voucher and good time- a pretty swell deal if you ask me!

Time: 7.30pm-9pm

Venue: Hong Kong Park Sports Centre

Short on motivation to get those kilometres in on your weeknight runs?

Trade your dancing shoes for running ones and meet up with a group of fellow avid runners on Wednesday, where you will take on a challenging 15km upward night hike/run, starting from Bowen Road to wherever the night takes you (probably near Deepwater Bay Road).

Bring along water and headlamps and make sure to sign this waiver prior to jumping straight into the action.

Get in touch with either Martin at 9133 5415, Atishi at 6719 3451 or Alien at 9094 6140 for more details.

Just like a good old Wednesday night pub crawl, minus the alcohol.
