Rugby fans in Hong Kong, rejoice- Sevens rugby is back in town!


The Asia Rugby U20s Sevens Series will to pit the continent's up-and-coming stars from China, Singapore, South Korea and of course Hong Kong amongst others against one another this coming Friday and Saturday at King's Park.

Keep an eye out- you may even recognise some of them tearing it up at Hong Kong Stadium much sooner than you think! 


2. Summerfest 2018 @ Central Harbourfront 

Date: 7 July (Sat) - 26 Aug (Sun) 

Time: Full Schedule

Venue: 9 Lung Wo Road, Central, Hong Kong (Central Station Exit A) 

Admission: FREE 


Trying to soak up some Vitamin D without wanting the hassle of having to pack for the beach? 

Take your friend/partner/family along and relive your childhood on a playground for both the young and young-at-heart, where you will get the chance to display your boundless flexibility (or lack thereof) on Twister, your shooting accuracy with a football dart board and football 8-ball pool among many other fun activities, all while enjoying views of the harbour! 


The venue will also feature upcoming health/wellness booths by Pure Fitness and other similar events. 

If you're not completely worn out by all the fun, be sure to hang around for the night-time interactive art show, pinwheel garden and various other illuminations that will ensure the park stays LIT well into the night!

3. Sunset Hike from Wong Tai Sin to Shatin Wai via Mau Tsai Shan

Here's a relatively easy hike for Saturday evening that is perfectly suitable for newcomers, led by Hong Kong's biggest group of experienced hikers on Meetup.com (other hikes over the weekend of varying difficulties are also available in their group). 


With Instagram-worthy sunset shots and a decent cardiovascular workout in store, be sure to bring ample amounts of water, light snacks to keep you going and make sure your phone is all charged up and as ready to go as you are! 


4. Hong Kong Rugby League Trials

Having made their debut against the Japan Samurai last November, Hong Kong Rugby League are on the lookout for aspiring players to join the Hong Kong Thunder squad as they prepare to take on the upcoming Emerging Nations World Cup, as well as future regional and global competitions to come. 


So lace up, bring along a gumshield and get ready to experience a different code of rugby, but with the same hard hits and tough running.  


5. Stand Up Paddleboard Explorer Clinic  

Date: 4 Aug (Sat) 

Time: 1pm-4.30pm

Venue: Deepwater Bay

Need a healthier excuse to head out to sea? Want to enjoy views of the coastline and ambience away from the maddening crowds? 


Look no further than the paddleboard clinics organised by APA Outdoor Shop and Red Paddle Co., with qualified instructors on hand to show you the ropes.


Time to slap on the sunscreen and go wild, but hopefully don't get too wet!
