Following 2 wins in a row against NBC A and Khalsa B, it was important to keep the winning streak going against SSSC C.

We started the game with a strong eagerness to roll our opponents up and show them how hockey is played. The deadly combination of resolute defence and an in-form striker really helped us play our best hockey for the first 35 minutes, with Chris Bland scoring 2 goals in 20 minutes! His goals took his tally to 7 goals in 3 games.

However, Darren had to leave the pitch for the hospital after taking a stick to the chin, requiring a few internal and external stiches.

Inspired by the usual pep talk from our trio Pete – Jenko – Erol during half time, we maintained focus and our discipline, contriving to keep the pressure high on our opponents during the second half.

While we created many chances, we sadly could not convert them.

End of the day, we scored 2 goals without conceding and finished with another 3 points- 9 out of 9!!!! This fantastic start of season is the outcome of a strong team spirit. Well done boys!
